Principal’s message

Welcome to Rosemary Brown Public School!

Rosemary Brown P.S. is a Grade 1–8 French Immersion school in Ajax, and I am incredibly proud to serve as Principal of this vibrant and diverse community.

At Rosemary Brown, we believe that great schools are built on strong relationships. Connection comes before curriculum. When students feel known, valued and that they truly belong, they are better positioned to take risks, discover their strengths and achieve at high levels. Our commitment is to create a school where every student is challenged, supported and given opportunities to succeed.

Our classrooms are places of curiosity, creativity and meaningful learning, but we also know that some of the most memorable parts of school happen beyond the classroom. Through athletics, the arts, clubs, leadership opportunities, special events and community partnerships, we want every student to find something that makes them excited to come to school and something that helps them discover who they can become.

We also recognize that educating children is a partnership. Families are an essential part of our school community, and we value open communication, trust and collaboration between home and school. Together with our staff, families, School Community Council and community partners, we are building a Rosemary Brown P.S. that our students and community can be proud to call their own.

Our school's name also carries an important responsibility. Rosemary Brown was an educator, social worker, politician and trailblazer who dedicated her life to challenging barriers and opening doors for others. Her legacy reminds us that education must be about more than academic achievement. It must also develop compassionate, courageous young people who understand their ability to make a difference in the world around them.

As Principal, my vision is for Rosemary Brown P.S. to be a school known for high expectations, meaningful learning, joyful experiences and an unwavering sense of belonging. We will celebrate what makes our students unique, honour the diversity of our community and continue looking for new ways to open doors for every learner.
